Standard Court Schedule

• Criminal Court is every Monday at 1:00 pm. If you wish to plead guilty with an explanation (Traffic Court), come into court on Monday at 2:00 pm
• Traffic Trials are on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 4:30 pm.
• Civil/Small Claims are on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 4:30 pm. 
• Civil Court and Building Department. The court is on the 4th Thursday of every month at 3:00 pm.

Civil & Small Claim Matters

Please note: Court Clerk Staff are not attorneys and thus cannot provide such legal advice. As such, the Court cannot provide guidance to Landlord's seeking to evict Tenants. Additionally, the Court cannot dispense advice to Tenants who have been served with a Notice of Eviction   (Se habla español)

Civil Matters (Landlord-Tenant Matters) 

The party you wish to sue must reside or have a primary place of business in the Village of Sleepy Hollow. The filing fee is $20 and the Summons must be served. 

Small Claim Actions

The party you wish to sue must reside or have a place of business in the Village of Sleepy Hollow. For amounts up to $1,000, the filing fee is $10; for amounts greater than $1,001 up to and including $3,000, the filing fee is $15. Service is by First Class and Certified Mail.

 You may pay parking tickets online, in person, or via mail. Checks/money orders should be made out to "Sleepy Hollow Village Court". You may also pay with cash in person (exact change only), or Visa/Mastercard (subject to a convenience fee of 3%)

Vehicle & Traffic Tickets

 If you wish to plead guilty, please submit your plea to the court, and we will then send you a fine notice. If you wish to plead not guilty, please submit your plea to the court and we will schedule a Pre-Trial Conference
